We also dynamize the generous down tube that houses the battery. Small optimizations, you can't do much more. For a decisive change it would be necessary to orient E-PHASER, rotating it backwards, dismantling the kinematics of the rear suspension. Let's be satisfied. Will be for next time.

Easy transplant: lots of space at the bottom and convenient battery extraction. I just had to reposition the shock absorber attachment point to the frame and re-proportion the rocker arm for the new working angles. Interesting and widely "developable" frame, perhaps with slightly more dynamic lines.

In the previous episode I was looking for volume, space - the final frontier! These are a designer's journeys to package everything right - for the battery pack. Volume subtracted from E-PHASER and which required increasing the down tube (rethinking its construction... as we will see, perhaps) and rethinking the battery fixing and extraction system. This is the result.

I was saying, last time... to recover useful volume for the battery that E-PHASER has "eaten", it would be possible to increase the section of the down tube and change the battery housing/extraction system.

This Spectral:ON CFR had easy transplant. But not quite! In terms of volume graphics, yes, we are there but... E-PHASER 12s eats up the lower portion dedicated to the battery and its removability "from below". The result is still remarkable, in my opinion, and KASHIMA on the transmission components is cool. But I have to do something about the "severed" battery stuck in the down tube. And I already know exactly what! 😎

PEDRONI RACE Charger powered by E-PHASER 12s


Another heart transplant! And here there is so much heart and pulsating Tricolor! Frameset, MDU, brakes, shock absorbing units... what a beautiful parade of proudly Made in Italy! A balance that I wouldn't want to disturb in the slightest but - alas! - I have to continue my experiments. So, no changes to the beautiful Charger frameset other than in the engine interface. Unfortunately, the gearbox-engine integration increases the overall dimensions of E-PHASER which definitely exceeds the volumes of the excellent OLI. The only solution is this to avoid touching the rear kinematics. It could go. Perhaps a natural niche is created to insert a plug-in battery booster with integrated skid plate extended under the E-PHASER. PIRELLI tyres, obviously.

ORANGE Patriot LE powered by E-PHASER 12s



Another heart transplant! An integrated MDU with gearbox is another planet. Both on a functional and design level. This time the victim was the ORANGE Patriot LE. The Brand needs no introduction: such a determined and tough brand identity does it credit! The E-PHASER transplant was, to quote Igor (M.Feldman): abnormal! I had to and wanted to dismantle a few things and overturn an aspect of the brand identity that was anything but secondary! The single pivot(!) had to give way to a VPP in citrus sauce. I like it and, even if I haven't done a loop with Linkage yet, everything seems well proportioned to me. On the other hand, ORANGE is no stranger to really interesting experiments either. E-PHASER can fit. The experimentation continues.

The transplant wasn't easy! I had to "dismantle" the kinematics: shock absorber repositioned and relative fixing point to the frame moved along the down tube. Rocker arm reproportioned and its pivot substantially moved. No verification loop with Linkage. At the moment it's not even worth it. All just to see what this superb vehicle would look like with E-PHASER 12s.
